NEW PROGRAM: Rear Admiral [Ret.] James Carey, Future Leaders Chairman, announced a new Washington Scholars Internship Program focused on America’s wounded military veterans.The first selectee for this program is Bo Prosch of Wake Forest University, an Armyveteran of BOTH Iraq and Afghanistan, who is interning on the staff of Senator Ensign of Nevada.

Jim has been nominated to serve on the Future Leaders for American Foundation Board of Directors. The vote to confirm his election was completed today and we are pleased to inform you that Jim has now been duly elected to that Board of Directors position. Washington, DC: January 8, 2008 — The Future Leaders for America Foundation Chairman today announced that Mr. Brian McManus, Board Member and Treasurer of the Foundation, has been elected to the position of Vice Chairman of the Foundation. Carey, stated “Brian McManus has done outstanding work for the foundation over the past two years, and has become a critical member of our management team. Since his election to the Board of Directors last year, his dedication to the Foundation has proven to be a major source of inspiration for our entire Board. And his service as Treasurer of the Foundation has provided his expertise as a tax lawyer that has served to make our operations even more professional.
